FGUCC offers several choirs that perform during church service and at special events.
Sanctuary Choir presents traditional, contemporary and ethnic based choral music at three 10:00 am Sunday services a month Sept through June. It is a made up entirely of volunteers who love to sing 4-part mixed choral music. New singers from teen age to retirement are welcome to join this fellowship of music lovers. Rehearsals Thursday at 7:00 PM. Contact Laura Frye if interested.
This is an all skill levels choir, offering music in worship when it feels like a piece is ready. The Gospel Choir shares the love of soul and Gospel music. Practices are most Sundays after worship for about a half hour. Contact Deena Barrett through the church office.
The Jubilate handbell choir is a group of fun-loving people who enjoy working together to make music. Our members are a variety of different ages as well as musical abilities. We play three to four octaves of bells. Rehearsals are Monday evenings from 5:00–6:00 PM in the sanctuary where you will see us making music and laughing. We usually offer music in worship on the 4th Sunday. Feel free to stop by and listen to us practice any Monday. Cameron Heilman is the director. Strong Wings Band plays on our intergenerational Sundays. The band plays original music and cover tunes from genres ranging from folk to country, and pop to metal. Strong Wings rehearses at 7 p.m. on Tuesday nights and welcomes singers and instrumentalists of all ages and skill levels. The Band is using a shared leadership model.
- The Angel Choir is for children 2nd grade and up. Rehearsals are every Sunday, after church.
- The Cherub Choir is for children ages 3 through 1st grade. Rehearsals are TBD.
